Making Moulding
The key to making moulding is the knife used to cut its shape. At SJS, we have over 5,000 custom knives—and we often create more for new projects. Not only do you have an extensive selection of pre-made options for your moulding, but if you have a unique idea for shape or want to match historic trim, we can craft a knife to match what you need.
Radius Work
When done well, radius work takes time and precision. It requires bending wood into the perfect arches to fit your door, window, or any other space. Accurate measurements for the space allow us to calculate the exact arch necessary to create smooth, even woodwork to fit.
Glue Rack
At SJS, we hate wasting wood. Often, small pieces of wood can still be used by gluing them together—and we’re able to do this so well you won’t even know it’s not one solid piece of wood. This creates a great option that’s both well-crafted and affordable for certain projects.
